Position Title: Business Development Manager – MENA Region
Position Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished and results-oriented Business Development Manager to lead our growth and client acquisition initiatives across the MENA region.
The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in IT services sales, specifically in custom software development, and demonstrate a consultative sales approach, high accountability, and a proven ability to generate revenue exceeding USD 1 Million annually.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify, qualify, and prioritize opportunities across UAE, KSA, Qatar, Egypt, and other MENA territories
- Develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Engage C-level stakeholders across private and public sectors with tailored software solutions
- Own the complete sales cycle – prospecting, discovery, proposal creation, pricing, negotiation, and closure
- Ensure compliance with local norms including localization, regulations, and proposal standards
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and deliver accurate forecasting through CRM tools
- Represent smartData at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
- Collaborate with delivery and operations teams for smooth project handovers
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience, including 5+ years in software services sales
- Proven expertise in consultative/solution selling in MENA markets
- Arabic language proficiency is highly preferred
- Willingness to travel across the region (30–40%)
- Strong understanding of GCC and North Africa client behavior
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
