Lockdown brought smarTians face to face with the unknown. The way operations have continued for over 100 days is a testimony to precise planning, continuous monitoring, and exemplary hard work and dedication towards work and the associated livelihood. Video conferencing has helped. The water cooler talks have been replaced with virtual settings. There have been numerous talk sessions and video conferences for the last three months. The calls have been both formal settings to discuss work and informal off work conversations. This has been a great way of conversing with people and knowing how they are doing in these heightened state of anxiety due to pandemic & offering help and support and solace in any way possible. Healthcare Training Sessions

Ongoing training programs encourage creativity and forward-thinking. Virtual sessions on the changing needs of the healthcare ecosystem and deep discussions on the current & upcoming demands of the global market were the main highlights of the training. These training programs are well designed and allow smarTians to polish their skills to meet ever-changing IT demands by mapping tech solutions to real-world problems.

The smartData cultural league “Abhivyakti” was launched remotely – another “new” in this new normal. The auditions started in May and, even as first of its kind, there was a lot of creativity in this event. It fulfills our commitment to striking the perfect balance between work, life, and fitness. Another new aspect of this event is that the families of the employees have also been allowed to participate to enhance employee engagement and unity in diversity.

Developed an algorithm for a tile manufacturing company that can analyze photographs of tile's surface to determine the smoothness. Various images were given as the data set for the development of an algorithm to find the roughness of the surface of the product. The algorithm is fed with two images namely reference image and distorted image and after comparing as well as analyzing both images, An estimated distortion percentage is calculated which is aligned with the human judgment in comparing the two images.

In client’s existing patient healthcare insurance eligibility verification and claims processing system (Claims EMR), we are developing an AI agent that retrieves SOAP/encounter note data via a REST API. To compliance with HIPAA, patient data is first de-identified using AWS Comprehend to remove any PHI and then sent to the ChatGPT-4o model to suggest ICD/CPT codes. These code suggestions are displayed to the medical biller for review before submission to the integrated clearinghouse. AI agent we are building to assist medical billers by eliminating the need to read the entire SOAP note thereby saving time and reducing their workload.
