smartData at World Health Expo Dubai 2026
Rohit Verma, our Senior Director, represented smartData at World Health Expo Dubai this year. It was one of those events where the real value wasn’t in the presentations, but in the conversations happening in corridors, over coffee, and between sessions.
A lot of what people talked about felt familiar. Healthcare systems everywhere are under pressure: more patients, stricter compliance requirements, tighter resources. And while technology is part of the solution, many providers are still dealing with systems that don’t connect, workflows that slow teams down, and tools that add work instead of removing it.
Data security came up again and again. So did interoperability. The question wasn’t “what’s next?” — it was “how do we make what we have actually work better?”
There was also a clear push towards technology that simplifies things. Less clicking. Less duplication. Better coordination between care teams. Tools that support clinicians instead of pulling their attention away from patients.
For us, being there wasn’t about showcasing what we build. It was about listening. Understanding what hospitals and care providers are dealing with on the ground helps shape how we design solutions. They need to be practical, compliant, and usable in real environments.
We came back with useful perspectives, new conversations to continue, and a deeper appreciation for how similar the challenges are across regions.
