We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with experience in building enterprise data platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and Business Intelligence solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. Experience in the healthcare domain is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, and Fabric Warehouse.
- Build Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers using the Medallion Architecture.
- Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration using Fabric Data Factory and Dataflows Gen2.
- Create analytics-ready Fact and Dimension models and optimize performance.
- Develop Power BI dashboards, semantic models, and reports using DAX and Power Query.
- Monitor and optimize Fabric pipelines, SQL queries, and Power BI reports.
- Implement data governance, security, and access controls using Microsoft Purview and RBAC.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Business Intelligence.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, Fabric Warehouse, and Medallion Architecture.
- Strong knowledge of SQL/T-SQL, ETL/ELT, Delta Lake, Parquet, Star Schema, and Fact & Dimension tables.
- Experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, DirectLake, DirectQuery, semantic models, dashboards, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, data governance, security, and pipeline monitoring; experience with Azure Data Services is an advantage.
- Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar, along with Jira, Agile/Scrum, and independent task ownership and delivery.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Healthcare Claims, EHR, FHIR, HL7, ICD-10, and HIPAA-compliant data solutions.
- Microsoft Fabric and Power BI certifications.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and Azure DevOps.
