The Challenge
Scheduling, patient intake, clinical documentation and virtual consultation were each handled separately. Reminders and waiting room communication were disconnected from booking so no-shows were common, intake was collected outside the clinical record and re-entered, and documentation varied by specialty in ways that made records hard to search.
Four separate tools covering one patient visit.
Reminders disconnected from the booking process.
Forms collected outside the clinical record.
Free-text documentation varying between specialties.
Approach & Solution
smartData built the platform on .NET Core with C# and MS SQL through a continuous integration pipeline, unifying consultation, scheduling, intake, documentation and secure data management. Because intake and documentation conventions vary by specialty, dynamic form builders and template-driven notes let providers configure their own workflows.
Secure video runs on a dedicated video SDK with optimised communication workflows, supporting low-latency consultation alongside real-time messaging and file sharing in the same session. An AI symptom checker guides patients to appropriate providers before booking, and a virtual waiting room manages flow.
Key Features
Intake configured per specialty without code.
Documentation structured and searchable, not free text.
Patient flow managed with automated notifications.
Patients guided to the right provider first.

Final Outcome
The platform unifies patient engagement, provider operations, clinical workflows and secure data management into one scalable telehealth ecosystem, making care faster to deliver and clinical records structured enough to search and reuse.
