Lockdown brought smarTians face to face with the unknown. The way operations have continued for over 100 days is a testimony to precise planning, continuous monitoring, and exemplary hard work and dedication towards work and the associated livelihood. Video conferencing has helped. The water cooler talks have been replaced with virtual settings. There have been numerous talk sessions and video conferences for the last three months. The calls have been both formal settings to discuss work and informal off work conversations. This has been a great way of conversing with people and knowing how they are doing in these heightened state of anxiety due to pandemic & offering help and support and solace in any way possible. Business Trip to the United States

My business trip to the United States took place from May 21 to June 7, 2025, with New York as the entry point and Chicago as the exit point.

The primary aim of the visit was to meet and greet-our existing customers where we recently delivered the first phases of their projects, making them aware about our NGT initiatives and Global Capability centres and our overall offerings. The meetings were highly productive they allowed us to discuss and complete the next phases, review project progress, and secure upcoming contracts. In addition, I had the opportunity to connect with several potential new partners, many of whom are deeply focussed on healthcare technology. They expressed keen interest in our offerings and appreciated the advancements we have made.

My itinerary began in New York, from where I traveled to Washington, D.C., covering nearby regions including Maryland. The discussions here centred around strengthening relationships and exploring new opportunities. From Washington, I went aheadto Pittsburgh to meet long-term clients who have been collaborating with us for over three years. These sessions helped deepen our understanding of their evolving expectations and provided a platform to showcase our AI-driven solutions. The clients were pleased to see how we are embedding AI into existing and upcoming projects.

During the trip, an unplanned but fruitful visit emerged. I traveled to Houston to meet a new potential healthcare partner after receiving a fresh business inquiry. The in-person meeting proved to be highly engaging and productive. They provided a tour of their facility, and we had meaningful discussions that would not have been as effective over a virtual call.

The final leg of my trip was to Chicago, where I met another prospective partner interested in our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) implementation services. Discussions are ongoing, and I also had the chance to interact with another healthcare-focused organisation during this visit.

Overall, the trip was phenomenally successful. 20 touchpoints face to face and 4 zoom/phone calls being in same time zone. I was able to secure new work orders, address client concerns effectively and strengthen our partnerships. Meeting clients and partners face-to-face added immense value, fostering stronger connections and mutual trust.

Business Visit to USA

I had the opportunity to visit the United States this year, where I spent 2.5 weeks traveling across New York, New Jersey, and Florida. During this time, I met with 9 existing clients and 4 potential customers, engaging in meaningful discussions about the future of healthcare IT and technology solutions. These interactions offered valuable insights into their evolving needs and allowed us to align our offerings with the latest industry trends.

A key highlight of the trip was attending HIMSS 2024 in Orlando, Florida—the largest global healthcare IT conference. This year’s theme, “Creating tomorrow’s health,” set the tone for an inspiring and dynamic event, offering a platform to network with industry leaders, explore cutting-edge innovations, and exchange ideas. The insights gained from HIMSS will undoubtedly shape our future initiatives and partnerships, as we continue to push the boundaries of healthcare technology.

Alongside attending the HIMSS conference, I had the privilege of meeting with several key clients to better understand their evolving needs and gather valuable feedback. During these discussions, we reviewed product roadmaps and highlighted our latest advancements in AI, Machine Learning (ML), and other next-gen technologies such as blockchain and advanced data solutions. These conversations reinforced our commitment to empowering clients with the tools they need to tackle industry challenges, improve operational efficiency, and scale their businesses. The trip also served as a crucial opportunity to deepen client relationships, gain fresh perspectives on market trends, and identify potential avenues for new business growth.

From the earliest moments of the morning, there was a charge in the air as teams moved with purpose, whispers of big announcements floated through the corridors, and an unspoken anticipation connected everyone on campus. This was not just another date on the calendar; it was the kind of day that reminds a company of its purpose, potential, and spirit.

Dr. Sanjai Tiwari’s visit began with an intense and energizing strategy session alongside Global CEO Mr. Ajay Tewari, CEO India Mr. Rakesh Pant, and senior management leaders. What unfolded was not simply a review of goals but an open, challenging, and visionary discussion that sought to define smartData’s path for the future. Ideas were pushed beyond comfort zones, opportunities were dissected with precision, and bold possibilities were brought to the table. Discussions touched on every aspect of business growth, including emerging technologies, market positioning, operational excellence, and the evolving expectations of global clients. Dr. Sanjai Tiwari’s insights carried both gravity and encouragement, reminding everyone that the future of business belongs to those willing to adapt, innovate, and take decisive action.

Two powerhouse squads stepped onto the pitch: sD Royals, captained by Mr. Ajay Tewari, and sD Force, led by Mr. Rakesh Pant.

The crowd erupted with each boundary and groaned with every narrow miss. The sound of applause and friendly banter created an atmosphere where competition and unity blended seamlessly. Dr. Sanjai Tiwari, along with the leadership team, watched every ball with visible excitement, cheering, laughing, and at times holding their breath as the match’s suspense deepened. The SPL was not just about cricket; it was about spirit, teamwork, and the reminder that success thrives when people come together, on the field or in the boardroom.

As the final overs played out and the game reached its climax, the energy around the ground was electric. When the match ended, applause and cheers filled the air, not only for the winners but for everyone who had poured their heart into the game. Travel Purpose and Experience

The primary goal of my travel was to work hand-in-hand with client side team on three crucial areas:

  1. Assisting in the launch of a new in-house insurance carrier.
  2. Facilitating the integration of an external insurance carrier into our systems.
  3. Exploring various AI initiatives and crafting a strategy for their implementation.

In addition to these projects, I conducted technical training sessions for the onsite team. These sessions were designed to share knowledge and ensure everyone felt comfortable using the platform.

Experience

Overall, the travel experience was very positive. Collaborating face-to-face with the teams allowed us to quickly address challenges and accelerate important tasks. The training sessions were interactive, and it was encouraging to see the team’s enthusiasm and involvement. We also engaged in meaningful discussions about AI initiatives, which helped clarify our direction for execution. This visit was instrumental in pushing our initiatives forward and strengthening our collaboration with the client team.

The visit reaffirmed that in the UAE, business decisions are driven by trust and personal relationships progress may be gradual, but once credibility is built, it leads to long-term, high-value partnerships. Initial engagements marking a promising step toward deeper collaborations. These face-to-face meetings strengthened our commitment to delivering value through personalized engagement and global partnership.

The wait finally came to an end on 3rd September 2025, when the smartData Mohali campus turned into a hub of energy, anticipation, and celebration. The occasion was the much-awaited auction for the smartData Premier League (SPL) 2025, Season 16. With more than one hundred participants gathered in the hall, the air was charged with excitement and a festive spirit that made the evening truly unforgettable.

As the auction began, the atmosphere grew more intense with every passing minute. The auctioneer’s voice carried the names of players across the hall, and with each announcement came a wave of cheers, whispers, and eager discussions. Every bid brought with it a surge of adrenaline, as team captains and owners strategized, recalculated, and raised their paddles with confidence and determination. Associates cheered for their favorites, moments of laughter broke out in between, and the energy never dipped for a second. What unfolded was not just an auction but a gripping show filled with suspense, fun, and competitive spirit.

The real thrill came from the unpredictability of the evening. Just when it seemed a player had been secured by one team, a surprise bid would rise from another corner, changing the entire course of the round.
